Born in chains
to this wasted culture,
some perpetual celebration
of superficial beauty.

A reluctant canvas
to their ornamental obsession.

Her dreams, ideas -
Gently drained through her pretty eyes.
The lights extinguished.

This is my entry for the Plans Gone Wrong contest. My twelve-year-old niece modeled for me, and I took the photos, did the editing, and the makeup. Makeup consisted of an Asian tree painted on her face, a wax teardrop for the light bulb, and a freehanded panda tattoo. We did the shoot in my stepmom’s garden : )

The only stock I used was the light bulb and the berry pie.

Beautiful model and photo.

The one thing I don't like is it's a little too exposed. But besides that, it's great photo and a perfect applicant for the contest.
